Save the Date: Liturgy "Taster"
July 12th, 2013 | John Chandler
Who doesn’t love free samples? They provide the opportunity to get a taste for something new. Even better they are free!
Beginning Sunday, July 21, Austin Mustard Seed will host a series of Liturgy “Tasters”. We need your help as we explore how to host a weekly gathering. During our time together, we will share a sacred meal called Eucharist, learn from the scriptures, pray together and sing songs of praise.
The word “liturgy” is key. It’s a Latin word that means “the work of the people.” This time will be an opportunity for each person use his or her gifts to serve each other and to worship God.

We are also inspired by our friends at Vox Veniae. They combine the homegrown sounds of local musicians, with world-class coffee, original artwork and ancient spiritual practices for a uniquely “Austin” approach to Liturgy. We hope to build on what Vox has already created, and over time, create something equally unique to our neighborhood.
The goal of the Taster is to give you a feel for what this new church community will be like.
