Save the Dates: Good Friday Liturgy, Easter Lunch
April 9th, 2014 | John Chandler
At Austin Mustard Seed, we spend time each Sunday remembering the death and resurrection of Jesus. We also join in the ancient practice of Holy Week, a collection of liturgies, fasts and feasts that remember the week of the Jesus’s Crucifixion.
Holy Week begins this weekend with Palm Sunday. Save the Dates for two additional opportunities:
Good Friday is a solemn gathering that transports us to that fateful night in ancient Palestine. We will reflect on who Jesus was and what it meant for him to die. The service ends in silence and reflection, so you may want to arrive early to socialize. All ages are welcome, although no childcare will be provided.
On Friday April 18 at 7pm, we’ll gather at the Liveoak Bible Church for our first ever Good Friday Liturgy. We’ll be joined by friends from Liveoak and Bridgepoint Simple Church Network.
Easter Sunday is April 20. After Liturgy we’ll have lunch and an Easter Egg hunt!
