Sermon Audio (6.1.14) – Ephesians 2:1-10
June 2nd, 2014 | John Chandler
This Sunday, John Chandler continued in Ephesians 2:1-10. The quotes that we read:
- Paul anchored this landscape in Jesus’ resurrection: “God put this power to work in Christ when he raised him from the dead” (Eph. 1:20). Now we find ourselves in it, our feet on the actual ground. We smell the wild fragrance of resins and blossoms, touch the textured tree bark, feel the rain on our heads and the wind in our faces. We are in the country of salvation, the land of resurrection, in the company of resurrection men and women. — Eugene Peterson
- “And because of this common experience of rescue, we now share an identity marker even more indelible than the ties that bind us to our family, our race, or our culture.” — Tim Keller
