This Sunday: Pentecost

June 5th, 2014 | John Chandler

pentecost
The two holidays most identified with Christianity are Christmas and Easter, and they are days worth celebrating. But Pentecost belongs alongside them — it marks the day the church as we know it began, and when God breathed life into this community that has now lived on for centuries. This Sunday, we celebrate the day of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit together. We will reflect on the story of Pentecost from Acts 2 together, and consider why it still matters a great deal today.

We gather at 10:30am Sundays at 7500 Woodrow Avenue (in the building of Liveoak Bible Church). Come and practice resurrection with us.
