EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT

Midweek Groups are “extended families” within our larger church community. They meet throughout the month for both structured times for discipling each other and unstructured times of for fun and fellowship.

Yesterday, we hosted a “Midweek Group Scrimmage” where we learned about and practiced what happens in Midweek Groups. If you didn’t make it to the Scrimmage, you can watch this video.

This fall, each Midweek Group will choose one of three foci:

For groups that focus on Learning will choose one of the following:

For groups that focus on Listening to God and each other we suggest using Story Night process. This handout describes how to use the Story Night process for listening to stories from each other and stories from scripture.

Finally, some groups may choose to practice Lectio Divina, an ancient practice of hearing and experiencing scripture. This handout describes the process. You can also listen to an example here.

As of right now, we have three groups meeting.
