What to Bring to the Advent Liturgy & Lunch
November 24th, 2014 | John Chandler
On Sunday, November 30, we’ll begin this special season with Liturgy and a potluck lunch.
Advent is the season on the Christian calendar leading up to Christmas. It is a time a of anticipation and loving. We’ll welcome the season with a potluck lunch and by making a craft to welcome the season.
This is a great chance to get rid of your Thanksgiving leftovers or share your favorite dish.
Because some members of our community have life threatening allergies, we strive to create a safe environment for all. Please pay careful attention to the “do not bring” list.
Do NOT Bring
Please avoid bringing any food that contains:
- Peanuts
- Tree Nuts
- Sunflower Seeds
- Sunflower Oil (this one sneaks into lots of packaged foods)
Do Bring
- The following are safe and easy
- Safe Thanksgiving Leftovers (see above)
- Veggie trays
- Salad or other greens
- Bread
- Mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes
- Fruit salad
- Berries/Grapes
- Deviled eggs
- Dessert!!
Still don’t know what to bring? We’ll have a few additional items, which you can make a donation toward.
See you Sunday!
