Join the Sabbath Dojo Support Group

February 2nd, 2015 | John Chandler

Our focus on Sabbath in our Sunday liturgy has passed, but our intentional practice of Sabbath together is just beginning. So, will you consider joining the Sabbath Dojo Support Group?

Many of us will know what a support group is, but ‘dojo’ might not be such a familiar term. Dojo is a Japanese term for a training school for martial arts or some other kind of practice. So, this group of those practicing Sabbath will be a little of both as we continuing learning together how to live into Sabbath and support one another.

We will gather together in the afternoon or evening of Feb 15, Mar 8, and Mar 29 to talk more about what we’re learning about Sabbath and renew our commitment to each other to practice it. Alongside that, we’ll read a section of Sabbath: The Ancient Practices, by Dan Allender. Anyone is welcome to join, but we do ask that you commit to at least 2 of the 3 gatherings. We’ll finalize the time and location based on how many participants we have.
