This Sunday: A Turning Point
June 23rd, 2015 | John Chandler
This Sunday, April Karli is back preaching as we continue in the Sermon on the Mount. She’ll be directing us toward Matthew 5:17-20. Here’s what she has to say about it:
Turning points in history are times when a decisive change happens. Usually, that change is positive. This week is a turning point in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus introduces something revolutionary. What Jesus introduces, in fact, is why Jesus himself is one of human history’s great turning points. Jesus’ words were a challenge to his audience then, and continue to challenge us today.
We gather for Liturgy every Sunday at 10:30am. You are welcome to join us at Brentwood Elementary School (6700 Arroyo Seco). (Park in the back off of Yates Ave.) All are welcome.
