GriefShare, December 14
December 7th, 2015 | John Chandler
For many, the holiday’s come with mixed feelings.
Scripture calls us to “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” That’s why we’re hosting Grief Share on December 14.
Grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss of any kind. Grief Share is a gathering for people who are grieving significant changes or loss, such as the death of a family member or friend, the end of a relationship or a major setback toward our hopes and dreams.
The holidays can be full of memories and emotional triggers, which is why this gathering is scheduled just before Christmas.
As we grieve, we often receive the message that grieving should be done alone, but we want to gather with the purpose or seeing and hearing each other in our darkness and pain and praying together.
The Grief Share is open to all and you will be encouraged to share as much or as little as you feel appropriate and helpful to your healing.
Grief Share will take place at 7pm on Monday, December 14 at the home of Oliver and Emily Thoma (1000 Unit A Morrow).
Please feel free to contact Kate Blackshear with questions, concerns or if you plan to attend.
