In John’s Final Sermon as Pastor of Austin Mustard Seed, he gives our community a charge as we move into the future. From the prayer of Paul for the Ephesians, we are invited to hold onto wisdom and trust God’s call and guidanceĀ in the life of our community.
In addition this week instead of a Prayer of Confession we held silence:
For those who have experienced any form of sexual assault, abuse, or injury.
For those who have experienced deaf ears to their story of abuse, pain, and loss.
In sadness over a system that propagates the powerful at the expense of the other.
And for those here in this room, in our city, in our country, and in this world, who have experienced this form of violence.
Our hearts go out in grief and we will hold silence for those who are hurting:
